Penny Pencil is the host in this interactive reading program for kids by DK, Dorling Kindersley. 

Five fun games teach reading, spelling and writing. Graphics are simple and bright, instructions are easy-to-follow and activities are short and structured to keep students motivated. Students can progress through lessons with minimal help.

Kids play Tele-Bingo, Rhyme Machine, Word Tower, Jigsaw Puzzle and Build a Billboard. 

This program was designed to be used in schools but can easily be adapted for home use. Teachers/parents add students and choose which activities they can participate in. The interface is simple and parents/teachers can track progress of students with built-in record keeping.

The password into the teacher section is control.

Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista*, Pentium 233 MHz, 64 MB RAM, 16-bit color, sound card, CD-ROM drive.

*We tested both program on Windows Vista Home and were able to run successfully.
