Part of the famous Blaster series this is a total reading solution for kids ages 6 to 8.

This CD is packed with exciting arcade style games that kids love combined with solid learning that parents really appreciate. Each game has 5 levels of difficulty so students are challenged as they progress.

The blaster pals are on Islandia when they discover the Mumblers have stolen all the books and are trying to jumble them up. They need your help to find the books before the Mumblers can create havoc. 

Kids explore the islands on the planet and earn clues as they complete activities. Five clues is enough to try to identify a Mumbler, but there are 45 Mumblers to catch and identify.

At the Mumbler Maze players guide the robot dog through a maze as he picks up gems. The key to getting a clue is to form correct sentences from words and punctuation.

Ski Bum Mumbler is a fun activity that helps kids with reading comprehension. Players read a short book and then answer questions. The questions can be found as players ski down a slope filled with obstacles and other crazy skiers.

Geyser Valley is full of geysers that need to be plugged. Players fire balls with the correct number of syllables, correct verb tense or plural ending. Balls must be fired just right to plug these geysers.

In Bridge Puzzle kids type spelling words that they see and hear. The words are first pronounced and displayed. Kids type the words three to four times, finally spelling the word from memory as they hear it. This is a fantastic spelling and keyboarding activity.

Volcano Drop and Volcano Climb both involve a huge volcano that is spewing fiery lava. Players climb up or down as they identify blend sounds, parts of speech, words with prefixes and more.

Over 200 lessons help kids master phonics and spelling, vowel sounds, contractions and compound words, antonyms, synonyms and homophones, over 2000 vocabulary words, prefixes and suffixes, punctuation and capitalization, sentences, nouns, verbs and adjectives, verb tenses and reading comprehension.

At the juice bar there are crossword puzzles and word searches to print, stories to read and letters to read and write.

Kids and parents can check mastery of skills with the Smart Chart and players received certificates to print as they capture the Mumblers.

Kids and parents will agree this is another excellent reading program in the Blaster series.
