Reader Rabbit 2nd Grade

Reader Rabbit has been educating kids since 1986 and now kids can play and learn with all their familiar friends on Nintendo Wii. The motion controls and pointing capability of the Wii remote make exploring with Reader Rabbit even more interactive. Players use the remote to move around colorful worlds, interact with characters and drag and drop items. Players can also shake and twist the remote for a more engaging experience in the learning games. 

Reader Rabbit and Sam the Lion have crashed the Dreamship into Mount Cheesemore. Kids, ages 6-8, help Reader and Sam navigate the island completing activities. As players complete learning games they are rewarded with macaroni fruit, french bread loaves and blue cheese bricks. When they have collected enough they can fix the hovercraft and recover the Dreamship.

Kids direct Reader Rabbit and Sam and encounter learning games like Cheese Brick Spelling, Cheddar Cheese Equations and Pirate Maze Reading.

Cheese Brick Spelling challenges young students to use spelling skills to help fix the cheese brick transporter.

 

In Pirate Maze Reading children construct sentences, tell time and identify shapes to complete the maze.

 

When kids play Cheddar Cheese Equations they complete equations to climb a mountain to stop a cheese avalanche.

 

Kids practice creating equations, identifying number patterns, counting by multiples, comparing number values, identifying fractions telling time, vocabulary, synonyms & antonyms, building compound words, reading comprehension, construction sentences, using punctuation & capitals, identifying insect anatomy, problem solving and drawing & painting.

Multiple skill levels auto adjust to ensure kids are learning as they progress. There are printable activities for learning and fun away from the computer and a progress report for parents and kids.

This is another great Reader Rabbit learning adventure that kids and parents will love.

This game is similar to the PC game, Reader Rabbit Mis-cheesious Dreamship Adventure. This game is rated E for Everyone.
