$14.95 Backyard Baseball This is a great sports game, by Humongous Entertainment, for baseball fanatics, 7 and up. Kids play real baseball with the kids from the neighborhood and 10 pro players as kids, like Alex Rodriguez and Sammy Sosa. There are a variety of players to choose from with quirky personalities and varying skill levels. Player cards give the inside info on each player. Kids start by naming their team. Players can name their team after 30 MLB teams or choose a unique backyard team name. Then it is time to form the team. Player bios give each players strengths and weaknesses. Coaches then take their teams to league play. League play progresses to the Super Entire Nation Tournament and the Ultra Grand Champions of the Universe. Multiple skill levels make it easy for little athletes and challenging for older players. This version of Backyard Baseball has outrageous 3D graphics that add to the fun. Coaches just don't form teams and sit back. Kids actually control the game by choosing pitches and controlling players in the field. When at bat, young coaches must choose line drive, bunt..., hit the ball and run the bases. This game is very interactive and kids get hooked on it.
