Brain Play 4th - 6th Grade

Math Missions Amazing Arcade Adventure

Nickelodeon Toon Twister 3D

Talk Now Spanish    &    Zoo Empire

The Brain Play bundle gives you four great programs for one low price. Kids in fourth through sixth grades can raise money to open an arcade, create 3D cartoon and build an exotic zoo. While they are having a blast kids learn math, science, Spanish and express their creativity.

Math Missions: This exciting CD by Scholastic lets kids earn money to open their very own arcade by solving math challenges around Spectacle City.

There are lots of places to visit in Spectacle City and even traveling is fun. Players can hop on a subway, ride a ferry or travel by bus. Each time kids must complete patterns, read schedules or find the right amount of money and coins.

At the Megabytes electronics store players will use graphs and charts to answer questions. Kids must first choose the correct type of graph or chart and then answer questions about the data represented. Correct answers earn money.

The Pier Market is full of math problems to solve. Students use scales to fill orders by weighing objects and answering word problems. Kids also learn about fractions using pies and candy boxes.

At the sports store players will make uniforms using caps, shirt, pants and shoes. Kids must make all possible combinations or choose the correct attributes based on clues.

The grocery store has all kinds of items for sale. Kids help choose the correct item based on weight, equality, cost, size and more. Players may choose a combination of items that add up to a certain amount or items that are closest when rounding.

Players also work on geometry skills at the high rise by completing puzzles with shapes.

There are also fun math missions where kids travel the city collecting objects and solving math challenges.

While combing the city and playing fun games kids in grades 3 - 5 learn multiplication, division, estimation, fractions & ratios, decimals, equalities & inequalities, classifying & sorting, prediction, geometry, money management, measurement, time, temperature, unit conversion, graphing & data analysis, navigation & direction, math terms and combinations.

A math glossary helps with unknown words and three levels ensure kids keep learning. While playing activities students must choose and answer and then click GO. This stops kids from clicking around to find the right answer.

As kids complete activities they earn money to open their very own arcade. Once kids earn $150 they can begin buying games and decorating their arcade. Kids can play these games any time they want and open the arcade for business. Young entrepreneurs will pick from 7 fun arcade games, set prices, set-up karaoke, sell refreshments, advertise and more. Unless they just keep playing the games themselves.

This is really real-world math and the perfect combination of math and fun.

Nickelodeon Toon Twister 3D: Kids an grown-up cartoon lovers can make their very own Nickelodeon cartoons. This program is packed with features and easy to use.

Young directors begin by choosing a title and picking a background. Next characters are chosen. There are plenty of zany Nickelodeon characters from SpongeBob Squarepants, Jimmy Neutron, Rugrats and Fairly Odd Parents. Kids can also add props for their characters.

Now the fun begins. Players can animate characters and props, add sound and visual effects, pan and zoom the camera and add music. The results are shown on the big screen.

This program is easy enough for younger children and sophisticated enough to keep older kids creating.

Zoo Empire: Players build their very own zoo and learn all about animals, habitats and natural behaviors.

Kids are responsible for everything including building the zoo, purchasing animals and staff, setting up attractions and most of all keeping visitors and animals happy. All this while watching the budget.

There are 40 species of animals with detailed information on habitat, feeding and more. Two hundred buildings and facilities to choose from. Two game modes and the graphics are great.

This is a fantastic simulation game that kids love and they learn so much while they play.

Talk Now Spanish: Students of all ages can learn Spanish with activities and games that introduce common words and phrases. Kids study food, first words, colors, phrases, body, numbers, time, shopping and countries.

Native speakers pronounce words and players learn with word object association. Four quiz levels and a printable dictionary reinforce learning. Fun games let kids practice their new skills.

This program is simple to use so young children can benefit and older students can choose harder games and quizzes and record their own pronunciations.

This package also contains a scholastic workbook for fun and learning away from the computer.
