This is more than just a story. Children participate in the story by completing tasks to help the princess. Kids choose story mode, where they are guided by the butterfly fairy, or magic mirror mode, where they choose activities. Children begin by sorting invitations and delivering them to the animals. They then must bake the wedding cake by following a recipe. Then on to the magical garden where kids fill a basket with beautiful decorations for the cake. Decorating the cake is lots of fun and kids can print their creation when they are done. Barbie also need help in the piazza where the musicians are all mixed-up. The sheets of music must be matched to the correct instrument by matching sounds. Then the music must be put in order by listening to the song and arranging the sheets correctly. Kids use a compass when Prince Ken gets into trouble, to help him find his way home. Princess Barbie also needs help with her wedding dress. This CD is packed with fun activities and kids are learning as they play. These activities sharpen skills like listening, following directions, doing things in order, aural discrimination, memory and matching, creativity and spatial perception.
