There are 28 different types to choose from including tundra, ocean, grassy plain and more. Players then construct enclosures, buy animals, hire zoo keepers. Kids learn about animals as they run their zoo. There are over 100 unique animals to choose from and information on each animal tells kids where they are from, what they eat, what type of environment they need and their behavior with other animals. Each animal must have the correct enclosure, shelter, food and water. There must be enough zoo keepers to care for the animals and interesting exhibits for the guests. Players must also keep the guests happy with snack shops, restrooms, gift shops and other attractions. As they zoo gets bigger and better more guests come which means more money to build bigger and better. Tutorials help players as they begin their first zoo. Controls are easy to use and there are over 175 materials to build the perfect zoo. Players must be able to read instructions. This collection includes the original Zoo Tycoon, Dinosaur Digs expansion pack, Marine Mania expansion pack and Endangered Species theme pack Players can tend to 12 animals on the endangered or threatened species list like whale sharks, Komodo dragons, orangutans and more. Kids can chase escaped dinosaurs or put on an aquatic show. This is a great game that kids and parents will both want to play. This game is rated E for Everyone and includes mild violence.
