Each land concentrates on a specific letter. In Soda Splash Fountain there is a saxophone, strawberries and a crazy squirrel. Players will find two storybooks to read-along and a skill game in each land. Players must master skills in beginning lands to unlock activities along the path. Skill house games include sounding out words with the word birds. This is a unique activity that lets kids develop the skill of putting sounds together to form words. Players also learn with Ben the Ant and sort words with Mit the Monkey. Each game has four levels to challenge kids as they progress. Children learn phonics and site words that are essential to reading success. Kids play fun activities as they learn sounds that are associated with letters and groups of letters. Site words are introduced and repeated in activities and storybooks. Sixty-four read-along storybooks reinforce skills learned. Kids hear words and sounds and learn to sound out and build words. Before you know it they are reading right along with Reader Rabbit. Children may take an optional assessment test before beginning the program to automatically set skill levels.
