There are two levels of game play, Junior Detective and Senior Detective. Nancy is always there to give you hints if you want them. The gameplay is easy to learn and control, rich 3-D 360 environments are fun to scour for clues. If you get stuck, don't worry, just save your game and pick up where you left off later or choose a second chance.. This is a great game for preteens and teens and a fun collaborative activity for friends and family. Kids will spend hours using their deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills. This Nancy Drew CD will keep you on the edge of your seat. Penguins have escaped and are taking over the zoo in this crazy fun arcade game by Mumbo Jumbo. Players of all ages love to bounce, twirl, swing and shoot adorable penguins out of cannons. If you think this is just arcade fun, think again. Kids, and adult kids, must use critical thinking skills to place gadgets in just the right place to help the penguins reach their goal. There are trampolines, cannons, trapeze bars, levers, booster packs and more in 80+ levels of puzzling penguin fun. Kids can also earn costumes, music, wallpaper and story art while they play. This is wholesome fun for the whole family. This game is rated E for everyone. Cooking Academy challenges kids and grown-up kids to put on their chef hat and start cooking. There are five courses with ten recipes in each. Players must complete tasks like chopping, stirring, slicing, mixing, frying and more. Players make sushi, egg rolls, eggs benedict, chicken fried steak and more. Everything must be done right and within a time limit. This is not just a game. Players must read recipes and instructions, follow directions and do everything against the clock. This is a great task-oriented time management game that teaches kids listening, reading comprehension, food trivia and a little cooking. Fashion Apprentice is 28 levels of hidden object fun with some fashion along the way. Players earn points as they find objects by name or silouette. Points can be used to buy items for the wardrobe. Young designers then combine skirts, shirts, dresses, shoes, purses, jewelry and accessories. The fashion meter tells them how they are doing. Kids also collect glamour points whey they follow instructions to dress their models. In addition to the hidden object puzzles there are fun mini-games and bonus items. These games are rated E for Everyone. The packaging indicates Mild Suggestive Themes, Comic Mischief, Alcohol and Tobacco Reference. The only thing we found was cooking ingredients included wine, but we did not play all games to the end. Windows 2000/XP/7*, 200 MHz Pentium III 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 160 MB hard drive space, 8X CD-ROM, 16-bit video and sound card. *We tested these programs on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and were able to run successfully.
