Sam the Squirrel has plans to build a time machine but Mia will need help to find all the parts needed to assemble the crazy contraption. As kids, ages 6-10, search Mia's house and garden they complete activities that cover addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometric shapes, time, date and day, equality, thinking skills and more. Kids are in control of Mia and can direct her with the mouse or use the arrow keys and Mia will skateboard. Mia is looking for parts and sparklies, but kids must solve obstacles along the way. For example, children will figure out how to wake the sleeping ants and use stones to catapult Mia on a popsicle stick seesaw. Children or parents can choose from four levels of difficulty or input age for auto leveling. There are 9 fun activities that can be played as part of the adventure or kids can play a favorite game over and over. The activities are engaging and have solid math content. Players will complete equations by choosing the correct number with the ants or listen to numerical clues to find the correct key. Kids will connect the dots in descending order and choose geometric shapes based on the names and descriptions. Children will also learn about place value and number sequencing. The 3D graphics are astounding and the characters are charming. Children will be learning essential math skills while they navigate through fascinating environments solving problems. Some of the obstacles Mia must overcome take some real thinking power. This game is not for kids who give up easily. Players can save a game and come back to it later.
