This adventure designed for kids ages 7-9, lives up to the famous Blaster name with exciting adventure and solid math training. Kids practice key skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percents, estimation and rounding numbers, identifying equivalents, measurement, geometric figures, congruency and symmetry, world problems, problem solving and logic. Dr Zero's computer bugs are wreaking havoc. Kids play games in Musical Match, Dominoe Bridge. Bug Hunt and Circuit Quest. Kids capture bugs as they practice math. Each activity has five levels so kids can begin at the right level and advance as they learn. The help button leads kids to detailed explanations of concepts in case they need a hand. There is also an activity that challenges kids to complete equations quickly to beat the clock. Once kids capture bugs they can attempt to capture Dr Zero. This is a unique activity like the old Mouse Trap game or Incredible Machine. Each bug has different attributes and will do different things. Players must place bugs correctly to accomplish the goal set forth. Kids can continue to play for hours because Dr Zero is infamous for escaping one he is captured. Math content is based on national education standards. Exciting games encourage kids to play longer and learn more. Parents and students can track progress with the Smart Chart. This is an exceptional CD with intriguing activities with just enough game play and lots of math.
