$14.95 Little Bear Kindergarten This wonderful CD by The Learning Company, features Maurice Sendak's Little Bear in a charming adventure for kindergartners with activities that develop critical thinking skills. Little Bear is off on a trek to meet his father. Little Bear and Father Bear are going camping at the seashore. Little Bear meets all his friends along the way and plays fun activities. At home before leaving, Little Bear must find all the things he needs for camping. Mother Bear is there to lend a helping hand and give Little Bear clues. On his journey Little Bear first meets hen who suggests he pick some flowers. Kids help Little Bear choose flowers that don't belong in the group. Children must identify colors and patterns that are different. Cat is ready to lead Little Bear through the cave. Inside they find some shadows and kids help identify shapes that are largest, smallest and those that don't belong in a group. Players will identify animals that live in the sea, animals that fly and more. Duck is trying to help the beavers repair their dam. Kids fit puzzle pieces together to help the beavers. Owl needs help making wind chimes. Children assist owl by completing patterns of objects. When Little Bear arrives at the sea shore he meets a mermaid. The mermaid asks for help identifying fish with certain colors and sizes. On upper levels players will be asked to find fish with a certain color body, stripes and eyes or a fish that is the same or different in body size and shape as the fish just before it. At the camp site with all his friends, Little Bear listens to a story told by Father Bear and plays a fun game of connect-the-stars. Kids connect the stars by numbers counting in ones, twos and tens. Skills covered include logic & problem solving, similarities and differences, listening, counting and number skills, comparing and contrasting and pattern recognition. Three levels of difficulty ensure kids are challenged as they learn. This CD also includes 25 family fun print activities. These activities include Arts and Crafts, Toys, Projects, Games and Parties. These unique activities will provide hours of family fun away from the computer. Kids love Little Bear and this CD with all the Little Bear characters will enchant children while they learn.
