This is the second edition of the Brain Play bundle that gives you four great programs for one low price. While they are having a blast kids learn math, reading, geogrpahy and Spanish. I Spy Treasure Hunt: I Spy, the great thinking picture game in books has come alive on the computer. If you are familiar with the I Spy books, you know that kids love to play the I Spy games. On the computer you get the same beautiful graphics that helped make the books so popular plus special features. Players, ages 6-10, will embark on an adventure to Smuggler's Cove, a community bursting with pirate history, elusive clues and spectacular hidden treasure. Kids will explore the town and play I Spy riddles games to reveal pieces of three mysterious treasure maps. After all the pieces are found players will assemble the pieces and follow the clues on an exciting hunt to discover unique treasures. Children will explore a shipwreck, toy store and 38 additional engaging locations. There are 60 challenging I Spy riddles in three separate treasure hunts with unique endings. In addition there are fun pirate map games and over 500 amusing animations and surprises. While kids play they are sharpening skills in critical thinking, mapping, vocabulary, rhyming, logic and reasoning, cause and effect, visual memory and discrimination and problem solving. Players are also listening and following directions. Logical and creative thinking is so important for kids today. This CD can give them a critical advantage while they are searching for treasure. JumpStart Spanish: Designed for children ages 3-6, this is a great CD to introduce children to a second language, English or Spanish. Join Hopsalot in the clubhouse where there are lots of fun things to see and do. Ten different activities are designed to introduce children to a group of themed vocabulary words, phrases, or songs. Each activity has two levels. Level one is for free play and discovery. Level two is a question and answer or game play mode where children are rewarded for success. Choose the Sketch Pad to learn numbers one through ten, or the Palette to learn colors while you color pictures. The Wall Poster will lead you to an activity that teaches body parts. The Doll House helps kids learn household items and food, and in the Closet children learn about clothing. Choose Toy Town to learn about building and vehicles and play a fun game where you pick up guests for a party. The calendar will teach kids about days and months. When you install this CD you choose the Language you would like your child to learn, English or Spanish. You also choose the language for instructions (your native language) English, Spanish, French or German. Learning a second language is becoming increasingly important. Children are most receptive to a foreign language between two and six. Jump Start Spanish can help introduce them to the sounds of the language during this critical window. Best of all kids love to play the games and sing the songs. Gold Medal Math: Students practice math skills while they compete in 10 Olympic events. Crosscountry USA Photo Safari: Explore the USA on a trip from east to west. Players learn about the 50 states while searching for endangered animals to photograph. Kids learn facts for all states plus 100 cities. This is a fun game with GPS navigation, simulated travel and amazing photographs. Kids learn geography, states and capitals, map reading, time management and problem solving. This package also contains a scholastic workbook for fun and learning away from the computer. Windows 98/2000/XP/7*, Pentium II 233 MHz, 128 MB RAM, 200 MB hard disk space, 12X CD-ROM drive, 16-bit color display, sound card. *We successfully ran I Spy Treasure Hunt and JumpStart Spanish on Windows 7 Home 32-bit. To play JumpStart Spanish we had to install Quicktime V2. It would not run with a newer version of Quicktime. We were not able to run Crosscountry USA or Gold Medal Math on Win 7. |
