Kids 5 to 7 join Arthur in the library where they choose from 6 fun activities that have 5 levels of difficulty, to grow with children as they progress. Mr Ratburn is hosting the Spell-A-Thon. Kids choose the correct answer displayed by Buster, Francine or Muffy. Mr Ratburn spells out each correct word. Players start with 3 letter words and work up to 6-8 letter words. D. W. leads kids in "Guess My Word." Children start with 3 letter words and must choose letters to guess the word. Each time the wrong letter is picked Buster gets a book to hold. Kids must choose the correct letters to spell the word before Buster drops his stack of books. Buster has some silly stories he needs help with. Students choose words at random and then hear them read in their story. This is similar to Madlibs and kids love it. There is also a matching game with Muffy. Kids start by matching picture to picture and progress to letters, words and rhyming words. Muffy has found a mummy trapped in an ancient pyramid. Kids move the mummy with the mouse or arrow keys up and down levels and around obstacles. First the mummy must find the key and then find the way out. This is a great game to strengthen logical thinking. Francine and her Dad have invented the Word-O-Matic. This machine makes words with a little help. Kids begin by find the beginning letter and advance to combining syllables to form the correct word. Kids can also go to the Dance Theater where they can paint backdrop with all kinds of colors and patterns. Kids can also program Arthur to dance by putting dance moves into a sequence. Arthur will dance in front of the backdrop created. Playing and learning with Arthur and his friends is always fun. Kids will have loads of laughs while they are playing for hours and sharpening reading and spelling skills.
